Mindfulness
Awareness in the present moment
Mindfulness is the awareness of “some-thing,” while meditation is the awareness of “no-thing.”
What is Meditation?
“Meditation is a mind and body practice that has a long history of use for increasing calmness and physical relaxation, improving psychological balance, coping with illness, and enhancing overall health and well-being” According to National Institute of health.
Even if many spiritual tradition includes a form of meditation, it doesn’t belong to one particular religion or faith. The underlying idea is to create a sense of calm and inner harmony. Depending on your needs and beliefs you may use meditation to:
Connect with your body, heart, breath, mind and soul.
Flourish into your best self.
Deal with difficult situations or emotions.
Develop acceptance and forgiveness.
Manage stress and daily demands.
Sharpen your focus and attention.
Become aware of your strengths and weaknesses.
Deeper understanding and connection with higher power or spiritual force.
Become aware of the present moment.
Grow your resilience muscles.
Alter consciousness.
Improve health and well-being.
There are many ways to practice meditation whether you want a stress management strategy or find a spiritual enlightenment, you can explore what feels good to you. You may want to challenge yourself a little and explore new ways of doing and practicing to find what serves best your needs at this moment!

Meditation is choosing not to engage in the drama of the mind but elevating the mind to its highest potential.”
